hey guys,

sorry for the file upload notification (previous message) - it's not
as clear as i'd hoped. i just uploaded a zipped version of the poly-
800 manual i found on the net a while back, in PDF format. it's
nowhere near as pretty as the zipped TIF package, but it's complete
and has always done the job for me. for those on lower bandwidth
connections it might be a less time-consuming download alternative to
the TIF version.

i notice that with this download we're really close to the group
filespace limit... just thought i'd suggest that we could try to
convert some of the large (i.e. 2mb) scans in the technical folder,
for example the MDK document, into plain text. i'm happy to
volunteer for this - having just gotten my hands on and installed a
mint, unused MDK (gloating post to follow :] ) i'd like to learn the
data. can't promise anything right away, though.

just thought i'd let you know.
