Pick me! Pick me! Oh wait that's the senior underwater basketweaving class.... I'm definitely in.
I really did not want to mod this pristine EX-800 I have here. My MK2 already has a bunch of mods and external controls. Someday I would like to figure out and filter the noise drone I get when I crank the noise pot up... Also I just bought a complete EX-800 main board and front panel board on Ebay for $8.99 because no one bid on it. I don't know what's wrong with it but it could be a good project for a 1 or 2 space rack mount as per Atom's idea. More fun!
Keep on hacking Mr. Wizard, Fran ;-)
Wake up you lurkers!!! Where have all the patch creators gone??? Gone to Oasis', Motif's and V-Synth's every one... Nah!!! No way!!!

That means, I've worked out where to mount the HAWK-800 - it goes into the location where the chorus board is in the MK1. I've also worked out the mod's required on the effects board. It requires removal of two 16 pin chips and the installation of a single jumper wire. Then the original cables running from the main board to the effects board have to be plugged into the new HAWK-800MK2 board. So far so good.

And to be honest, I was beginning to get quite concerned about the complexity of it on Sunday but then last night I was able to find the effects handling subroutines and split them out. There are whole bunch of look up tables and what not to support the effects board. But at this point, I am only another hour or two of work away from getting the proof of concept software working.
