You will be happy to know that I have just added patch up and down selection using the parameter value up and down buttons.

And the joystick parameter editing is completed and tested.

You can download the latest beta firmware from these three links below.

http://patrioticduo.tripod.com/hawk800/EEPROM1v18.syx
http://patrioticduo.tripod.com/hawk800/EEPROM2v18.syx
http://patrioticduo.tripod.com/hawk800/EEPROM3v18.syx

To use joystick parameter editing mode set global parameter 42 to either 2 or 3.

So the joystick modes (as set by global 42) are as follows:

0 = local joystick control off (sends MIDI if joystick MIDI TX channel is set using global 41 0=no MIDI TX, 1-16=channel).
1 = local joystick control on.
2 = local joystick off and MIDI TX off. Parameter editing ON (allows editing globals, parameters and extended parameters).
3 = same as mode 2 except that in patch mode you can also use the joystick Y axis to select patches up (right) or down (left).

I'll update the user manual and documentation soon.

Enjoy!

Mike

This would be worth the hawk kit alone, for me.

What a way to make the buttons value up/down become patch up/down? There
are config numbers avaiable, what about 77 or 78?
