If I hold off and redo the printed circuit board design to support the
other mod's it's going to push back the release of the kit by a couple
of months. It will also make the kit much more complicated for some
people.
so I am thinking about releasing two separate kits.
The first kit is the memory and software upgrade. While the second kit
will do 12/24 db filter switch, FM-800, Moog Slayer and possibly noise
into FM-800 mods all controlled by the software/memory upgrade.
This will allow me to get the memory and software upgrade kit out
within a week or two and allow me to continue work on the new board
that would support the hardware mods. Plus, to keep the noise level
down, it is going to better to locate the chips for the hardware mod
close to the filter itself. So a separate board is probably better anyway.
I am guessing that the second kit would cost under $50 bucks while the
memory and software upgrade kit is going to be close to $100.
What does everyone think about that?
Mike.
