The youtube video is great... I just can't wait to get my hands on the upgrade kit! Perhaps I'll be the first Argentinean guy to get it :D:D:D
 
And I want to remind you I'm eager to help you with localization/translation for future websites, documentation, etc about the Poly 800 MKIII (hmm, maybe we could come up with another, more distinctive, name, like "Poly 800 MH rev" ;)).

The stepping is only noticeable on the high frequency end. So while the Poly 800 does great basses the portamento in the low range sounds perfect (although you can induce the stair steppy by tweaking the portamento "tuning" values). The high end is always going to sound steppy. But even there, when you play a fast melody, it is not that easy to hear it. So all in all, I am pretty happy with the results.

And the best thing about this kit is that when you buy it, you're going to get lifetime software upgrades which you then download from my website and then flash upgrade your Poly using a sysex flash memory update. So as long as I keep developing new features, you get them for free. And that could mean that we end up developing a second portamento mode that doesn't have the steppyness in it.
