I've posted the part number for the Poly 800s battery, which is a BR2325
cell with 2 stands and three posts. I think that he is wrong about the
battery being self-charging, to the best of my knowledge lithium
batteries are not rechargeable - but if you have the C-cells in your
Poly800 it will drain those instead of the backup. Given that C-cells
have a higher mAh rating than the 150mAh of the Lithium, the only real
benefit of the lithium cell is it's extremely long standby life - it
will drain fairly quickly if the machine is left without any other power
source for a very long period of time - the current draw to keep the RAM
alive is extremely small.

I am considering installing a battery holder with 2AA cells instead.
