I designed such a solution:
Starting point: You have a synth that only has + and - Keys for parameter
changing.
What you want to have: A data dial ("digital potentiometer") that simulates the
+/- keypresses with a little electronics board.
A friend and I designed such a data dial and I have already installed one in my
Kawai K3M. We will make it available in a few weeks or months (depands on our
time).
The problem is that every synths needs other timeouts for the simulated
keypresses so that the synth reconises them and to allow multiple keypresses
when you rotate the data dial faster/more steps...
As our solution works with a little 8 pin microcontroller this time can be
programmed but the problem is that at first this time needs to be evaluated...
