Subject: EML serial numbers

From: "mike_b_eml" <digiboy@...>

I think this has been discussed here before. EML serial numbers do not have any clear correlation to date of manufacture. One having a lower number than another of the same model doesn't mean it was made earlier, it doesn't seem to mean much of anything. They don't correspond to the number of units made either. If they have any significance no one has come forward to explain how to "decode" them. It's not unusual for a piece to have no serial number at all.
