To put Ray Thomas's lack of musical prowess (on the flute) into perspective, I play better than he does. I'm not a flute player by any stretch. As a matter of fact, my wife (who is a flute player of great talent and repute) told me recently that if I ever play her flute again, she will emasculate Martinge next time she sees him. She may do it anyway even if I don't because she's a redhead and they often do things like that.
When Ray Thomas told the press that he played DeFord flutes exclusively, they immediately ended production and declared bankruptcy.
I hear that he is a great ballroom dancer, however...
