here's a brain tester....I recently got a DVDr copyof the documentary
THE DEVIL'S TRIANGLE w/ Crimson's same titled background music(and
Vincent Price narrating). How many of you can name other prominent
appearances of Mellotron in any film/tv scores? ( I recall that THE
LIFE AND TIMES OF GRIZZLY ADAMS film is supposed to use lots of tron
in the score also)

Hi Charles,  Yes , you're correct. Lots of cutesy flutes/strings
on "Grizzly Adams" .   "Space-1999" second season (1976)also had a
sprinkling of Tron throughout.

Tangerine Dream's use of Tron was quite prominent in the 70's-80's.
Sorcerer,Firestarter, and a few more i cannot recall right now (senior
moment).   An of course , Rick Wakeman's  "WhiteRock" .

Next time you listen to Crimson's "Devil's Triangle" ,  there's
a smattering of MK-II rhythmns, fills in the mix. Moving violin
chords,60's rock, etc.  Same effect as if you put a MK-II intoa blender.

Hint:  Final sequence of "Triangle"was accomplished by rapidglissando
of MK-II flutes up/down the keys.   For an ersatz harpeffect.

Have a great day out-there,gang.  And special thanks to DaveKean
for your pleasant phone-call here today !   Was like the"old days."

.....Time for the pontoons, raining like the Great Flood again.
