Hey J.P.,
Re: downloading YouTube videos, I don't know if this helps, and I don't have a video iPod (yet) so I have not verified this..., but here is a way I read you can save YouTube videos for playback on your iPod:
YouTube displays its videos embedded in a Flash player with no way to download them to your hard drive. Luckily, videoblogger Josh Kinberg provides a Greasemonkey script that helps you do just that. (Non Firefox/Greasemonkey users, a bookmarklet’s available in the comments at that link as well.) Once the script is enabled, click on the “Save as to download Flash video” at the top of any YouTube video page.
The file you’re prompted to download will be called “get_video.php” or somesuch. Be sure to change the filename to something with a .flv extension, which is a Flash movie.
Once you’ve got the Flash movie saved, it’s time to convert it. If you’re on a Windows PC, try iTinySoft Total Video Converter. Mac users, try the ffmpegX utility [via Mac Dev Center].
---------------
If you're on a Mac and use Safari, you can make this even easier.
1) Go to the YouTube page with the video you want
2) Open the Activity window (Window -> Activity) (cmd-option-A)
3) Double-click on the file that fits this form: http://∗∗∗.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=∗∗∗∗∗∗∗∗∗∗.
4) For iPod, drop the get_video file you downloaded in iSquint. For PSP use ffmpegX as suggested above.
I'd be interested if anyone is able to test this. If you can download them to play on an iPod there's got to be a way you can also play them back on your computer, you'd think?
With all of the links I have seen to great YouTube videos latey, I can tell already I'm going to need a 500TB video iPod!

Hi All...
I've gotta say it... Mike Giles has got to be the most underrated drummer out there!!! I recommend everyone getting the 21st Century Schizoid band's DVD: "Live In Tokyo" as Mike Giles was their drummer for that line-up. Not only do you get stellar performances of most of the early Crimson songs... including "Epitaph" (which hasn't been played since '69)... but you get to watch some excellent musicians playing... and enjoying these classics! Not only do you get the Tokyo concert... but you get excerpts of two other concerts... and some rehearsal footage as well. It amazes me how "laid back" Mike Giles appears... while playing some of the most ferocious licks around... it scares me to think what he would do if he got worked up!!! Mike Giles is using a set of "Arbiter Flats" in the rehearsal... and concert excerpts... great sound for a drum set under $1,000... that you can carry 'round in a small Toyota...
BTW... has anyone been able to download any of the vids on "YourTube"?
That's it...
