Not ∗exactly∗ Sundae Club, but we thought you might like to know that a
track written by Sundae Club and Friends is to appear on the new album
"Histoires Naturelles" by French superstar-chanteuse Nolwenn Leroy
which goes on general release in Francophone territories tomorrow
Monday 5th December. Entitled "London Fantasy" it was originally
written in English, but now has French lyrics penned by Ms. Leroy
herself. The album is available in standard jewel cased format and
2-disc CD/DVD Digipak edition. We are not sure whether there are videos
for all the album tracks. We reckon you'll have a hard time finding the
CD in the UK although the huge London superstores are likely to be
stocking it, so the Amazon link may be the best way of getting a copy.
You could always wait for the inevitable release on the French iTunes
site and buy the track alone.

"Why all the fuss?" You may ask. Well, as we all know, the French do
things differently from the rest of the world. They have SECAM TV,
yellow headlamps on their corrugated-iron motor-cars; eat gastropods
soaked in garlic and ride funny little bicycles with motors strapped to
the front forks whilst wearing stripy jumpers. We don't do any of those
things here in Blighty, but we live and let live. Let them get on with
it, so to speak. It's the same with music. We have never heard of Axel
Bauer, Johnny Halliday, Sylvie Vartan or Plastic Bertrand ( He was
BELGIAN!... Ed ) but in France they are les grandes etoiles. Similarly
with Nolwenn Leroy. She was the winner of Star Academy 2003, about the
same time as our little Cornish poppet Alex Parks won Fame Academy
here, but in France it's serious stuff. Since then, Nolwenn has
appeared with Johnny Halliday himself, Youssou n'Dour, Patrick Bruel
and Ronan Keating amongst countless others.
Her first album sold over one million copies. You were not one of those
who bought it.
Her second album will have a Sundae Club cover on it, so go on......
