I'd love to be able to provide interesting anecdotes of how the unit was found and lost within such a short space of time. But, but back in the early 80's the only place to buy and sell anything like this here in the UK was Melody Maker, and that's how it happened.
Maybe I should have made something more colourful up....
All I can say, is that having early electronics on board, it went in and out of tune like crazy. And don't forget, Mellotrons were being dumped everywhere in favour of the new polyphonic synthesisers during that period.
Shame on us..
