Hiall. I would just like to pay tribute to this wonderful man who's instrumentshave inspired most of us over the years. He died yesterday 21st Aug. Readmore here..http://www.caringbridge.com/cb/inputSiteName.do?method=search&siteName=bobmoogThoughperhaps slightly off topic. The story of Moogs and Mellotrons have beenclosely linked over the years. How many of us have had a minimoog on topof our trons? A classic combination in my view.Atrue genius who's contribution to music over the latter part of the 20thCentury will undoubtedly go underrated as far as the general public isconcerned. But not so here I think.Godbless him.    Andy K

Hello Andy and everyone,

It couldn't be worded any better, that Trons and Moogs were linked
over the years. Just like our American peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,
or eggs and bacon, etc....

Some time yesterday (Bob's passing unknown then),
I watched the video "YESSONGS" with Rick Wakeman's performance
of  "Six Wives of Henry VIII" on Moogs and Trons.

A fitting tribute to the man whose oscillators, amplifiers, and envelope
controllers brought electronic music from tech-labs onto the stage.
I still have my. orig. LP of "Switched On Bach" by Walter (before
Wendy) Carlos , which I shall listen to today. In the '70s, I had aMini-Moog
atop #681 as a member of  my short-lived band in NJ .

...Wow, I can just imagine the conversation happening now between
Bob Moog and Les Bradley........ God Bless them.....

Will be watching the media channels today for a story or hopefully
some mention of Mr. Moog's life and contributions.

Sincerely, -- Jerry Korb
