Last year: 1GB CompactFlash, $175 on EBay. I bought one for my
PDA. Fritz's "Loungeous Maximus" video (from my web site) is on
there ("Instant James Bond!"), as are "Improvised Waves", a bunch
of 'tron photos from Jerry, the entire tax code, schematics for Teddy
Ruxbin, a digital representation of Mike Dickson's personality, and
Martin's prom pictures from 1927.
This year: 2GB CompactFlash, $170 from on-line PC places (like Tiger
Direct), although you may be able to find it cheaper via PriceWatch
or NexTAG. I may need that for the draft of my essay about highway
line painting.
Next year: Who knows! :-)
I believe some recording decks are based on CF now. It makes a ton
of sense.
