Subject: Fw: [Mellotronists] YES & Rick

Don't get me wrong , they're interesting albums, and they're still better than most not-Yes, but I think they strayed pretty far from the fold for those - Drama is essentially a Chris Squire solo album, and Relayer is ...I don't know what the fuck Relayer is.  Maybe somebody put some bad LSD-25 in Anderson's carrot juice.  No, I just don't think Moraz was a very good fit or a wise decision for Yes.  One thing for sure, Drama points out just how important Squire actually is to the band.  Anything with Squire on it sounds Yessy, and a lot of the solo stuff the other guys have done and some of the non-Yes group stuff they have done with other bass players doesn't.  I submit that Chris is the magic ingredient.

So I'll stay within the minority here. Drama and Relayer are exceptional albums I think.
