I, personally, try to use action verbs as much as possible. State of
being verbs strike me as being far to static to move proceedings ahead.
Action verbs add a certain ambiance that you can't achieve any other
way. As Mike Pinder has often said, "Give me a good action verb that I
can sink my teeth into!"
More importantly, how does everyone on the list feel about the gradual
disappearance of the subjunctive from daily use?
