For a good laugh, you must perform "Stairway" hillbilly style!  The
recorder part could be done on a fiddle, the drums on a washboard, the
guitar on a banjo, and the bass on a broom w/plucked twine.  (any good
tron sounds here?)
Come to think of it, that would turn ANY Zep song into a "good laugh"!

I actually heard a cover of the Moodies' "Legend of a Mind" on XM radio the other day, done by a bluegrass band.  It sounded good through the acoustic guitar intro, and then it got weird.......banjos, fiddles, jug bass....no Tron obviously.  Actually, my M400 #1217 is probably one of the very few Trons out there to have been recorded by a country band (don't know why I'm bragging about this).  Barefoot Jerry (no relation to the Professor) owned it and used it in their studio.  They claimed to be a "Country Acid" band or something like that.  They even used a Minimoog on one of the Mellotron songs.  I bought the CD (because my Tron is on it) but I can't say that I recommend it.
