Hey hey,

As I have mentioned earlier on the list I have the GX-1 used on In through the outdoor at my studio. I am taking care of it on behalf of Benny Andersson. And about a month ago I received John Paul Jones's cartridges with the sounds he used. One of these days I'll pop them in for a testdrive...maybe Mellotron tapeset material ?

If you are interested in hearing the GX-1 go to www.roth-handle.nu/instruments/synths_yanaha_gx1.htm for some snippets...

There is an album coming out soon by Swedish band Celestine with a song called Peaceful that is more or less based on some very ambient sounds from the GX-1. A truly amazing instrument.

All the best,

Mattias

"All of My Love" features the monstrous Yamaha GX-1 synth, three keyboards
of pure analog beef, also used on "Fanfare for the Common Man" as
interpreted by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.
