Speaking of which...We're going to need something to get Jimmy Moore'sMark
II into his basement---carefully. Perhaps these straps, but theymight be
dangerous lugging 300+ pounds down a steep flight of stairs, or a
Roll-or-Kari (if it'll fit a Mark II---Rick??). Or the thirdoption: It
stays upstairs in the front room. It's a lot easier to run audiocables
than to transport a 'tron. :-) (Jimmy - you ∗can∗ remotecontrol your
recording PC easily (and free using VNC - www.realvnc.com) if it'son the
network, btw, so leaving the 'tron upstairs isn't impractical.) ...kl...Greetings Gang, An assembled MK-II or MK-II weighs-in at360 lb.
Add an additional 50-80 lb. for road-case and you're talking serious
hernia here !Jimmy's SFX/6 might need to be partially disassembled to ease transport
to the basement. Power-pack weighs about 70 lb, top-lid and back
panels can be removed, etc. Will bring the weight down to 225-250lb.
A three-person move. The less stairs the better. Via a bulkhead door or similar.
If the Tron is secured with 2" straps , and planking laid on stairs,
2-3 people can help guide it down s-l-o-w-l-y to avoid a crashing-end!My tuppence worth, gang. --JK--
