Just to add - there's something fundamentally different about playing my
Mellotron than any other synth/keyboard I have (including the B-3,
CS-80, etc). It's feels more like an instrument, or more alive
somehow.

I have my Tron sitting on a pair of appliance moving dollies (I can't
find a decent web pic of it - they are rectangular with 2 sets of
small wheels and an adjustable length) so I can slide it out of it's
space to change tape frames easily. Plus the slight extra elevation
leaves enough space for the Ernie Ball volume pedal to slide right
under it when not in use.
