Hi,
I have been quiet for some time concerning this but this is becoming too much. Colin has posted on a number of times concerning the release of his album, people have commented and said they like the album. Colin has posted reviews of the album. Great !
We get the message. Colin and others has made it very very clear in a number of postings that he has released an album and that there is Mellotron on it. He has also been informative and kind enough to post some samples of his music on the web.
I think it is great bonus of the list that we inform each other of what we are up to with our Mellotrons and our music. But I think it should also be o.k not to buy an album even if it is recorded by a member and there is mellotron on it.
Please keep it on a minimal informative level and then let us decide for ourselves...because after a while it just becomes a bit annoying and a bit pushy and therefor sadly enough a bit of a turn-off...
Best regards,
Mattias

I encourage everyone on the list to purchase a copy of the Sundae Club. It is an excellent collection of music and the Mellotron accents all the songs. We are on the this list not only to get help with our machines when we have trouble but also to share our different interpretive styles when we embellish our music. Colin's music is fresh, witty, but most importantly the songs stay with you after you turn off the stereo. The Mellotron is accented at times as a well as used to support other lead instruments.
I always play my machines but wish I was more artistic with it's applications. The only way I know how to improve my abilities is to listen to other artists using the Mellotron. I do this through buying CD"s with the Mellotron on it, Our list members who write and create CDs are the perfect source for improving my technique.
Besides it a great collection and enjoyable music and a cinch to purchase.
