Hi Jerry,
How do the pre-amps in the M300 differ from the other models
soundwise? It's that long since I've heard a MkII or M400

Hi Charles and Everyone,
Depends largely on the circuitry.\u000e Ken Merbler's MK-II
#247\u000f
has choir\u000e voices, going thru valve-preamps, and Hi-Z
heads.\u000f
That combination yields that bright "King Crimson"
sound.
And Frank Samagaio's Pindertron MK-II #134 , also has\u000f
choir voices. But the preamps within have NO
equalization\u000f
at all. The Moodies' choice back then. The upper
registers\u000f
are more subdued than an M400,and much less than my\u000f
MK-I #124 "Julia."
Hope this helps,Charles .\u000e\u000e Cheers, -- Jerry Korb
