Hi Pete and Gang,I'll do my best to assist while JB/Martin are away. You have an M400?
Check all fuses. If a fuse did open, chances are something more serious
occured in the power-pack. Hopefully not........Also,open the preamp box under ctrl.panel and make sure both little
boards are firmly in place (WME289 and WME290) .Any background hiss/hum in the audio (at max.volume), or dead-silence??

Hi Martin,
I just came back from a 2 week vacation(last Sunday),wentto play my
black beauty last night and I'm getting no sound.I checked all my
connections,cables-there ok.I've got power,the motor's running thetapes
are engaging and rewinding(after 8 seconds but no sound.Any thoughts?I
think I read you're on vacation also so I probably won't hear fromyou
soon but please advise when you return.
