So, I just indulged myself in a pair of really nice powered stage
monitors, Samson XP200's with 200 watts bi-amped and sent to a 12" LF
driver and a 1" titanium HF driver, and of course the first thing
that I did was plug #886 in and diddle around a bit. I've been
playing on some beat-up old stage monitors, fifteens and crappy horns
powered by an old QSC 450, and this is the first time I've actually
heard a Mellotron with such good quality amplification. Holy shit, I
had no idea there was so much detail in the recordings, especially
with my 30-odd year-old original BBS tapes.

Just when I thought my obsession had peaked, now I love these damned
things even more. Gotta start thinking of what tapes I want next...
