Just a quick note to say thank you to Chris, Jerry, and Ken for your
informative answers....

I own several reel to reel machines, and I figured that maintenance
would be much the same, but seeing as I am serious about one day
acquiring a Mellotron, I am trying to educate myself as much as
possible before I go and make a real stupid mistake....

It's real nice to see that this group is here for Tron enthusiasts
to share knowledge and stories about these wonderful machines....
I hope to join your ranks soon with a serial # below my name....
