Gang,Point your thingy at http://www.kleonard.com for some new things
Mellotronic from MONEYPIT and more.MONEYPIT has had a very busy start to the year with all kinds of things
going on. MONEYPIT is the Mellotron Owners of New England, or Mellotron
Owners Needing Excessive Yen for Purchases for Improving their Trons, or a
new one from Prof. Korb - Mellotron Owners of New England Yearn for Parts
Improved and Traditional. Between restoring Mike Pinder's Mark II, getting
#1037 running, visits to other parts of the country, and the occasional
M400 work weekend, MONEYPIT and others who have been sucked in have been
quite busy.
∗ MONEYPIT heads to New Jersey - April 23-25, 2004. For afficionados of
yesteryear take a virtual tour of the old Morris Canal. And for 'tron
afficionados, visit with us to Fritz Doddy's Tree Fort where we were
interviewed for a radio show on WNYC and got to hear the awesome new
Mellotron sounds that Fritz put together.
http://www.kleonard.com/mellotron/mpma0404/default.htmHowdeeee,
In an ever-shrinking world of coincidences, I happened to
meet Mr. Dave Schwartz from our List and his wife at
none-other than Waterloo Village NJ. Morris Canal Days !As KL mentioned , what does this have to do with Mellotrons?
Apparently, a LOT, when someone approaches you
at the CSNJ Museum bldg. from a few paces and calls
"Hey Professor Korb !" Holy Rowboat,Batman !We talked about things Mellotronic AND canals over
2 hrs. Also met the elderly owner of Waterloo Village,
Mr. Percy Leach. AND the Sussex County state rep.
Mr. Freylinghausen (sp?). I even cajoled the politician
with a riddle about Watergate, canals and such..
....Took chutzpah ! I wore my Mellotron cap proudly,
given me by Frank Samagaio , owner of Pindertron #134.Dave S, if you're out there, I'd like to hear from you.
Was this an official MONEYPIT visit to NJ ?? Nope, UNTIL
Dave introduced himself and talked Mellotrons.....That's it for now, gang. Have a wonderful weekend,
wherever you are and Happy Trails and Trons !Cheers, "prof" J.Korb (also CSNJ member)
