i have just about everything frank ever did, and i can't recall
EVER hearing a mellotron. he also seemed to be able to acquire
the REAL instruments and players when he wanted them, so it
have just been unnecessary to use the mellotron to "imitate"
instruments that he had "in the flesh" as it were...
and i don't recall ever seeing one listed on credits either...
never saw one in george duke's rig, tommy mars' rig, or with
other keyboard players that he used through the years...

it's an e-mu modular system.
pics of it turn up here and there.
wonder what became of that thing?
