No - there's no actual fireproof case! It's a wooden case like the others -
this was just a joking reference to Wakeman's incineration of his remaining
mellotrons in 1982.
I just threw that in for smiles as the list has had a laugh or two about
that before.
About the 4 track having a metal cabinet, it also had very sharp aluminium
edges as well. Probably not the easiest instrument to carry around/work with
internally!
