Re-evaluating my vinyl collection has led to discover an absolute gem - "Epsilon in Malaysian Pale" by Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream. Anyone here have it? Made in 1975 on Virgin, it's a real find. Apart from minimal synth sequences, virtually all tron, mainly flute and 3 violins, -sublime!
++ I still have my copy, and Aqua, as well. Both are on tape so I can listen to them at work.
Makes me a relieved man that I didn't sell all my record collection in the name of CD. Which begs a question.. Anyone have any regrets over what albums they sold when the CD bug first took hold? If you do still have some early albums on vinyl you've had stashed away in the garage or loft. Do yourself a favour and get them out and rediscover the experience that we once had and have now sadly lost.
++I only buy Cd's to get the stuff I missed the first time around. It's doubtful that I will ever replace the LP's with Cd's
"Just call me Punxsutawney."
