Enough already!Holy Mud-Slinging, Batman! I spent the day performing
semi-final test/debugon MK-II/134 , a real Pindertron
from the M-B. And what's awaiting me at the email-inbox?
.....Sheesh !It seems thatthere will always be irreconcilable differences
between this side of the pond and the land where ALL
Mellotrons cantrace their origins. This began with questioning
of fit/finishon an M400 or two on eBay. And then spiraled
down to name-callingand innuendoes. As one who strivesto do the BEST work possible,
for myself orfor others, I'd never permit anything with
compromised appearance/functionto leave the premises.
Any Tron I'veworked on WILL be in better shape leaving
than arriving. If requested not to perform a full cosmetic
restoration dueto time/cost constraints, then mechanically
it HAS to performdependably. There will alwaysbe the "DK-camp" and the "Streetly-camp."
So be it.....Eachhas their unique following of models
and personnel. But it lessens the community at-large
to force opinions upon another, then unleash
a barrage of personal attacks. Facts are facts, gang. I wouldn't
buy a "p.o.s."for a high-price from anyone.....Anyone.
As long as thefunds are still in my hand, I control the cards. As Frank Stickleindicated, most anything can be fixed,
even warped keys(been there, done that too).
But words candamage more than what's fixable.
Let's all return to our corners and consider this
latest rounda draw...... (referee has spoken).......Jerry Korb(needs cosmetic restoration, but mech. fine )
