Golly this is good. Regardless of whether Dave Kean or any one else worked
on these machines, they both looked like crap. Warped keys can be straightened
and keys can be aligned. This I have done many times.
The interesting thing to note about the first Tron delisted is that the
seller represented that work was done on the machine that obviously was not (at
least according to Dave Kean) so that ought to concern anyone contemplating
bidding on it. The second Tron listed looked to me like it still had a CMC 10 in
it, so maybe it was a different machine.
Regardless, anyone buying a Tron should reasonably expect that it will need
work... perhaps a lot of work. That's why I will now shamelessly plug myself.
IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR MELLOTRON TO LOOK LIKE ASS (thank you Jon) send it to
me. I can make all the keys straight and make the Mellotron play and look like
new. Costs are reasonable if cabinet work is minimal. If you just care about
it playing well and looking right, I can make it look and play better than new.
Amongst other things, I do perform "Mellodontia" (thanks again Jon)
