Hello Markus and Dave Kean,

Thank you very much for sharing the sad news of the passing of Doug
Ferguson in Texas last Saturday. For those who are more recent to our
List, Doug purchased(rescued) MK2/138 from a music shop in Arkansas
in late 1997. It was in horrible condition,painted all colours of the rainbow,
missing most major parts,cabinet items,etc. I have photos of the beastie if
anyone's interested.

I got to know Doug thru emails,like so many of us. We exchanged much
tech information to bring his instrument called "Bertha" or the "Smellotron"
back to some playing function. We also had many phone conversations in
recent years,promising to send me 2-litre Margheritas ,Texas-style for my help.

He loved his music,friends,and his beloved Mellotron was pivotal in his life.
Those of us who knew him shall miss him,offering a moment of silence for
a cool guy and fellow Mellotronist. Doug,here's to 'ya buddy,please send my
best to Les,and I'll see you someday......
