.....last night- I stumbled upon a rehearsal space wherein the original
members of 10CC were preparing for a reunion gig, and just about to break for
lunch. somehow I persuaded k godley to unearth their mellotron ("it's in a big pile
of stuff at my house in yorkshire") and off we went. he told me along the way
that they'd tried to get eric's voice-tapes working in it so as to do "INIL"
in the live shows, but that it was too wobbly. I told him they should've tried
looking after it a bit better. serial number 1017, it was.
this was all a dream, though, I should repeat. I'm blaming the chinese food.
the bass clarinet is fantastic- 1098 running fine right now.
