The only justification I could see in the purchase of
such a hybred would be in appearance. That is, one
would appear to play the 'tron, but really have a
bunch of other digital, MIDI modules triggered from
your 3 octave keyboard.
Except for keyboard players, though - who else would
know? The general public probably doesn't know what a
'tron looks like - and a keyboard player would be
curious until they figured out that it was just an
elaborate keyboard stand.
The ebay ad should say: Elaborate keyboard stand that
looks like a Mellotron...
I have an elaborate tube amp, rack for sale....
