Subject: I see myself being Frippish

I know a number of creative musicians who tend to be quite introverted
with their songwriting craft, and bands who wish to be on indie
labels of self-release their material perhaps because it seems any
more these days, the major labels force them to tour as part of their
signing/contract agreement. Since I'm quite the homebody, being "out
on business" won't work for me beyond a few days.
I'm not a musician, but hold two very people-oriented jobs, so
perhaps I can relate to being quite brief and nearly anti-social when
I long for quiet time by myself.
Reminds me of Johnny Carson and why he slips away on vacation to
Europe because he can actually go shopping without getting cornered.
Reminds me also of why Freddy Prinze committed suicide.
And on a more sociable, sharing note: Mellotron discoveries of the
week include new CD's from:
Azure Ray (for the McLachlan/Amos set)
Bipolaroid (compared loosely to Barrett)
Dios (a nice five song EP that reminds me of last summer's five song
gem from Earlimart, but instead of Optigan, there's Mellotron)
