Subject: a mellotron data base or registry

I think an open mellotron data base or registry could be established
and at the same time protect the owner of an included mellotron from
those people that, for example, might want to mine the list for
mellotrons that they seek to aquire then sell strictly for greed.
I belive the benevolent information open to all would be useful to
shed some light on what units are simply still in EXISTENCE as well
as being in recording studios, museums, available for rent, etc.
The needed part is that the principal players in this project would
not just have to check their egos at the door, but also try to take
care of the confidential information they will have by following
their personal and professional ethics. In "pooling" their resources
these folks could do what they know is the right thing to do.
I see the principal players as being (not in any order): David
Kean/mellotron.com, John Bradley,Martin Smith/Streetly Electronics
and other fine people(you know who you are).
These guys in voice-to-voice telephone calls, conference calls and e-
mails could create this data base.
