That's pretty much what they've done; i.e., gone to one good keyboard
player, for the last couple of tours. The female backing singer does
play some keys. On the first tour that she played, she played so little
that I wondered why they had bothered, but she was playing more on the
most recent tour, although her role is still secondary. No, they are
not using a Mellotron, but the songs sound good.
