This is Chris Haley from the USA and I just received a very interesting email from John Evan-Jones, formerly of Jonesy and now a psychologist in Denmark with ten books to his credit. He confirmed the use of M400 on the recently released fourth Jonesy album "Sudden Prayers Make God Jump" recorded in 1974 and availible on cd from a lavel in Italy. There is also MK I mellotron played by Jamie Kalath on "Collage" the solo album by John Evan-Jones released only in Germany on the BASF label and soon to probably be rereleased on cd. "Collage" came out the year before the first Jonesy album "No Alternative." According to Jones, Jonesy originally owned one of the rare MK I prototype trons, which was a bitch to drag around, this is the tron that appears on "Collage" and "No Alternative." Two MK IIs were acquired for "Keeping UP" and "Growing" and the White 400 was used by John Evan-Jones and Ken Eliot (Second Hand, Chillum, Seventh Wave) on "Sudden Prayers." GO to
