Hey we've played this game, but we never went as far as writing down all
sources of the "borrowed" licks... there's also PFM in there, ELP,
Renaissance, Yes, Genesis... it's kind of a "prog puzzle". Played it
recently for a prog-friend who had not heard it before (can ya believe it)!
That was fun, prompting his scrutiny of the liner notes - "what the hell
year was this made???"
Tongue in cheek? Serious tribute? Lack of originality? Who cares... I agree,
the Mussorgsky and Debussy bits are really nice.
Deep lack of originality, but enjoyable nonethelesss! Ironically, their
second album was for ∗more∗ original, but far less liked. Funny old world.
