Speaking of fucking idiots not reading history, you and others of yourilk conveniently forget the trivial event that occurred almost two yearsago on 09/11/01 that precipitated the necessity of actions like the PatriotAct, you bloody Communist.  I bet you have a poster of Mike Farrellon your bedroom wall. Make sure you're armed before you engage in a battleof wits.  DON'T get me started...    Frank Samagaio

Greetings All, Agreed, the 9-11 tragedies in NYC/DC/PA have
awakened us permanently.Without transforming our
MellotronistsList to one of stark political differences, I'd like to
offer my tuppence'worth and leave it at that.....nothing further.

Many like myselfhave watched the WTC being built and lived
in their shadowslong-ago,while we were happily listening/playing
our Trons/music.When the towers fell, my initial emotions were
to level everythingeast of the Sea of Galilee/River Jordan.
But this wouldn'tbring-back the victims or comfort those
survivors/families. "Extraordinary times demand extraordinary
measures" isthe phrase which comes to mind. Not sure who
said that .

That said, I alsowould NOT like to see revival of "McCarthyism"
from the '50s.Many innocent people were wrongly accused of
selling-out theircountry,leaving perm. scars for a generation.

There must bea middle-ground found to increase security
for our citizenshome/abroad, and thwart future disasters as
9-11. The PatriotAct will expire in late 2005 anyway.

Terrorists haveno timetable, and those who were in any way
involved can/willwait . Weakness is something the USA
dare not show. I'd be more ashamed of a leader that
did nothing inthe aftermath of 9-11, than one who made a
stand . I stoodat Ground Zero twice, once as civilian and
again with GuardReserves, and not  a dry eye there.

I'll get off mysoap-box now..............Jerry K.
