Subject: [Mellotronists] J-Tron

I think I asked awhile back but has anyone here ever heard Justin
Mayer's J-Tron(featured in Frank's book)? Wondering how it sounds
compared to regular trons/Chamberlins and what sounds he puton it.

Greetings All, I last spoke on the land-line with Justin Mayer
over four yearsago. This was during my design phase of
the JKMK6 .  Justin abandoned the 16-track configuration
orig. seen onDK's video series for the more conventional
8- tracks on1/2" tape.    Apparently, Justin was having
difficultieswith the narrow track-width and mechanical
selector mechanism.

The superbly madeJ-Tron was for sale at $7K/unit
in 1999. If anybodyknows how/where he is, have him
get/stay in touchwith all of us.  Cheers,  Jerry Korb
