Duncan

now there's a pair of bands I saw many many times. nothing could prepare the
unprepared for the onslaught of levitation- many people just didn't "get"
them
at all first time round. some nice records (tim smith at the knobs) but the
gigs were amazing. dark star were the same bombast reduced to a trio and
without bickers' cryptic lyrics and between-song-asides; they also lost the
keyboard/guitar nutter (bob something- andy t might remember)

I'm afraid I'm in the 'didn't get them' camp, although I know loads of
people who did. I only ever heard the guy referred to as 'Bob'!

andy, how does one go about getting a support slot with hawkwind?
seriously. we do drumming and stuff these days. it would work....

We did it by sounding exactly like Hawkwind! I dunno when we might do
anything with 'em next, but I can probably get stuff to Brock when we do -
he was wandering round their festival like he owned the place. Oh yeah - he
does. :-) Some of my band know him, so passing stuff on shouldn't be too
difficult.

Drumming? So have you carried out your threat to play as a power trio yet?
And did I see you say (?!) that you don't use #1098 live any more?
SACRILEGE! :-)

p.s. Currently reviewing the four rmi albums I have access to. 'Frozen
North' is very long, isn't it?
