What a hoot! Looks like they were mass produced...wonder how they
are ∗programmed∗? I'd like to hook one up to "the clapper" or some
motion sensor to give any wannabe burglars a run for their life. I
like the Curtis-Mathes "works in a drawer" approach.

A refurbished Birotron? I'm game. Just watch yr step--there are
worms all over the floor.

Optigans...I have one also, and it's kind of my fave instrument to
bang on right now. Lo-fi indeed, but they can be easily hotrodded to
sound halfway decent with an upgraded amp & speakers. These things
are toys, y'know...

(I can't believe the simplicity of the foot pedal/volume assembly)
