M400#908 (getting antsy for a big brother)If this is the MkVI I saw on a visit down to NYC about 3 years ago,be very careful if you want to bid. Ask if the seller owns a recordingstudio (I think it was on the West Side somewhere in the 30s). This particularunit looked to me as if it had shifted inside during transit from Californiawith the result that the frame is probably not "square" anymore. I playedit for about 1/2 hour and found that it needed a lot of adjustment. Sincethe person who owned it was not around, the assistant wouldn't let me domore than take off the keyboard, so I really can't be sure what was wrong, but all symptoms led me to believe that the less-than-perfect performancewas due to an out of alignment frame. I don't know how hard this wouldbe to fix yourself, but Markus or the Tron Brothers could advise you,
The machine itself was cosmetically very nice.
Rick, MkII SFX 10030 (Cosmetically very nice, too, except that it'sgot Martinge's fingerprints all over it...)
