Subject: Mellotron sold on eBay..."sucker"?!?

The bottom line is that the seller is happy, and the buyer is
happy...that's all that matters. Acquiring a Mellotron was certainly
one of the highest points of my entire life. Some consider eBay quite
inflationary, and others claim eBay and similar internet sites ruin
the thrill of the kill for garage sale and thrift store bargain
hunters because people take collectables to eBay instead. Indeed, but
I'm sure a number of us paid top dollar for something we really
wanted, and a number of us found some really good deals. In my case,
maybe $26.50 total was a hefty price to pay for Egg's "Civil Surface"
LP on Virgin, but then I was the only bidder on a suede jumper that
fits me perfect for only five dollars. eBay nonetheless is a great
way to gauge the value of your collectables. M-400 #380 I'm sure will
be treated like gold & has made its new owner ecstatic, and I
certainly can relate to the thrill of acquiring something I know I've
always wanted. Jamie...CONGRATULATIONS!!!
