Yes, and I have the Robert Fripp unplugged tapes series from Fripp the sister. He talkes about them here too. was recorded in 98. "Currently the mellotrons are being auctioned unofficially, two double manuals and two single manuals. I have no use for them and wil never use them again. A double manual mellotron used on The Court of the crimson king will sell for 10000 pounds. A double manual mellotron that was not used on the Court of the Crimson King will sell for 6000 pounds." Then he droned about how you don't keep things you don't use. was announcing his intention to sell all 6 (!!!) King Crimson
Mellotrons... there's serial numbers available for each 'Tron... and
which albums that they were used for. you can find the diary entry at:
