Hey folks,
Does anyone remember the crazy woman that was on the list a few years ago? You know, the one that ripped KenL a new @#$%∗& for basically being a nice guy. (Pssst! hey Ken...can you e-mail me your phone number and mailing address)
Does anyone remember the big "discussion" over copying and distributing the original "Rime"? Yeah, I though so.
Oh BTW, " fascism --a political theory advocating an authoritarian hierarchical government." Source: WordNet: the Princeton University lexical english language database. No corresponding references to "right wing" were found in the database in relation to fascism.
Often cited by our highest courts here in the States, the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines fascism as "a political philosophy, movement or regime that exalts nation and race and stands for a centralized and autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition." Again, no mention of "right-wing".
On the other hand, "right-wing" is defined in Wordnet as "the conservative faction of a political party". No cross reference to fascism was found.
Here in the US, the conservative political thinking (the "right-wing") traditionally supports a decentralized government and minimum government intervention into the lives of its citizens.
Am I getting silly enough yet?
Aren't you all tired of reading my post about old battles and definitions of fascism? I'm sorry for wasting valuable web bandwidth. Maybe I should go back to being the old Fritz, the one who doesn't mind making a fool of himself.
