I know that I haven't been around here and haven't posted anything for many moons, but I have been lurking...
Anyway, a few hours ago I got the following message in one of my group messages-I double checked on 'My Groups' messages, and it reads:
-On July 04, 2012, we will shut down the Yahoo! Groups Labs Applications (Beta) <and Groups Chat∗.>
We request you to backup any data that you might have created using the applications - The Yahoo! Groups Team."
And then a little while later on one of my other groups, I got the following update a little later:
What you saw is true, and to quote from the help forum on Yahoo:

Hi MOMSC,
At this time, there are no plans to reopen the current Groups Labs Applications after they are shut down on July 4, 2012, or to reintroduce new applications for Groups. However, with enough customer feedback, this may be a possibility in the future.
Please feel free to share your thoughts on the issue in our Groups feedback forum.
I apologize to you and your members for any inconvenience, and hope that you will still be able to make use of your Yahoo! group. ∗Not sure if group labs chat will affect the groups here or not.∗
