I haven't been on this group for awhile but I'm feeling out the market. I have a "brand new" M400 that has been played probably less than 15 minutes total time. I bought it around 15-20 years ago or so from the original dealer. I bought it for recording but I have never completed a studio with room for it and have not recorded at all with it. The Mellotron has been kept first in my apartment, then in a church music studio with recording equipment, then in a home, all climate controlled, regular conditions, no kids, no food, no pets.

Around 11 years ago or so I removed the tape rail and degaused the tape heads. Then I replaced the tape rail and played it a bit but still did no recording on it.

Other than that, it has hardly been touched. It has a few scuff marks from sitting in the music store all those years. But it hasn't had a scratch since I have owned it. Heck, nobody was around it since I owned it except me.

I am going to get the serial number in just a little while. I think it may be 1345 or 1354, but I have to check to make sure.

It is located in Dallas, Tx. USA. So can anyone give me a ballpark figure if I wanted to sell it??
